Practical Choice Lab may earn a commission when you click certain links on this site and make a purchase or sign up for a service — at no additional cost to you. This is how independent, ad-light content sites like this one stay funded. It does not change what we recommend, and it never will.
How affiliate links work here
- Affiliate relationships are disclosed near the first commercial link in any guide, not buried in a footer.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for a specific recommendation, ranking, or positive review.
- Where we haven't independently verified a program's current terms, we say so rather than guess.
- We do not use fake reviews, manufactured urgency, or misleading comparisons to drive affiliate clicks.
Programs we work with (or are applying to)
Our affiliate relationships span the same categories as our content hubs: online safety software, home-office and everyday-tech products (primarily through Amazon Associates Canada), small-business tools, and AI software (including programs such as Jasper, Descript, ElevenLabs, Gamma and vidIQ). Some listed programs are in our research or application pipeline and are not yet active — see Recommended Tools for what's currently confirmed.
AI-assisted content: a separate disclosure
On our AI Tools for Everyday Work hub specifically, we also disclose whether AI assistance was used in producing an article. That's a different question from the affiliate disclosure above — one is about who wrote the content, the other is about who profits from it — so we keep the two disclosures separate rather than folding them together. Our editorial independence
Every guide follows the same process regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists for the products discussed: define the use case, compare meaningful features, show trade-offs, and name who should skip a product. Full detail on our How We Review page.
This disclosure is written to meet FTC (United States) and Canadian Competition Bureau expectations for clear, conspicuous affiliate disclosure, and to support the CASL consent standard referenced in our Privacy Policy. It's practical guidance, not legal advice — have counsel review this page against your specific affiliate agreements before applying to new programs.
